PC Compression

Is there any PC program that can be used in conjunction with Premiere that is similar to FCP and Compressor?

Any PC industry standards or semi standards for compressing video?

I mean Adobes Media encoder does a good job encoding in Flash and WMV and MPEG... quicktime doens't come out as good. In fact I never even use teh quicktime stuff in that. I just use Sorenson squeeze for that. But sorenson is an external app and not a 'plugin' for premiere.... does that help?
