paypal issue?

I just got an email from paypal saying that any payments sent to my account will now be held for 21 days before I can access them.

This happen to anyone else? The email doesn't give any concrete reason as to why this is happening. I tried using the Email paypal function but all I ever get is canned responses.

Anybody know any tricks to get a real person at Paypal to talk to me?
 
Oh the 21 day trick. Google it, I did. Nothing you can do but wait, yet Paypal excepts you to ship the item without the money and let the buyer choose to release the funds. I've killed a few transactions because of it. Not so cool!
 
I'm kind of stuck with paypal because the (Free) pay per download service i use to sell my light leaks uses Paypal exclusively, and I'm not really doing enough volume to turn to a paid digital download service.

I just don't get why they chose me? I've never had a paypal complaint ever. I have 100% feedback on ebay, no disputed sales, no problems ever. I would note that this happened 5 days before I'm to receive a fairly large payout from a stock footage site. Now I get to wait 21 days before I get to use it. It's great! :(

Well... thanks for giving me the heads up anyway. I wonder how paypal treats their bad customers, if they treat their good ones like this...

Alternatives to paypal?!? What do you guys use?
 
This is way I've completely given up on Paypal and Ebay (Paypal's parent company). Between paypal and ebay you lose almost 12% of anything you sell on ebay, with their insane fees and then they refuse to release your money for 7, 21, 30, 90, or 180 days (they seem to arbitrarily just pick a time frame). And of course while your money is held, they collect interest on it in an interest bearing account.
