Harlan is abrasive, but his point about being undercut by the young writer is indeed a valid one. I'm not looking to get rich off of writing shorts, but where does one draw the line... This I'll do for nothing, this I won't... That is the question.

I like King's method. He'll option to the greenest filmmaker, but he still charges $1. I think that might say it all. Ideas are valuable, act accordingly.
