Pat Morita Dies at 73

i really liked him in happy days, i got a picture of him and i in a tv series he did in the mid 90s

Well said, Terry.

I remember how impressed I was with him upon first seeing The Karate Kid in the theatre. I saw Miyagi as a sort of Yoda-like sage figure who imparted his great wisdom directly to the audience along with Daniel-san. Who could forget hearing:

Daniel: Hey, what kind of belt do you have?
Miyagi: Canvas. JC Penny. Three ninety-eight. You like?
[laughs]
Daniel: No, I meant...
Miyagi: Daniel-san... karate here.
[he taps his head]
Miyagi: Karate here.
[he taps his heart]
Miyagi: Karate never here
[points to his belt]
Miyagi: Understand?

Daniel: Wouldn't a fly swatter be easier?
Miyagi: Man who catch fly with chopstick accomplish anything.
Daniel: Ever catch one?
Miyagi: Not yet.

What a performance.

I would never lie. This is the honest to gods truth.

My buddy and I were grubbing on Chinese using Chopsticks; a fly came a buzzin. He was trying to use the sticks to catch it; after a few minutes I did it one try

First time. ONe try. Fly on sticks. It was great; my friend was draw dropped.

I swear; it sounds like **** but it is true. You guys know me; I dont lie.

Anyway; finshed eating with a fork.
