Partical Illusion for AE

Does anyone know why Particle Illusion never bought out there plugin for After Effects? They so talked about doing this many many years ago? Still nowhere to be seen! It came built in with Apple's Motion!

I'm not sure about the plugin, but the stand-alone Particle Illusion can generate alpha channeled footage for use in AE, if that's at all helpful?

Illusion was never meant to be a plugin. It's only when Combustion bought Illusion 2 and integrated it into their software that it became a plugin (sorta).

I own Illusion 3, and not only is it an awseome app, but there are a bunch of other utilties you can download to make it even more versitile and go through libraries without actually opening the program.

It's a great and very handy little piece of software, easiest learning curve I've ever worked with. I use it mostly to generate custom graphics and diplacement maps and compound blurs in AE, but I also use it when I need a quick but nice looking effect for something and don't want to build that effect in AE.

I've been using it for years and years, and have no plans to stop. Especially when version 4 comes out. True 3D space in that one. fun, fun, fun.

There's the external renderer, there's a new(er) utility that allows you to look through all of your libraries without opening the actual Illusion main, and there are some utilities that help with converting track data points for different video software to Illusion, either for particles, or for the offset.
