the director will be asked to direct something else, maybe a sequel, make oodles of money. He's still in the win.
 
They are all in the win, the actors, director, producers, crew etc all have their name attached to what will be the most profitable movie in history. Next time around they will make more, if it's good and makes money then they'll make even more on their third project.

Talks of a sequil are in the works now and Peli is directing Area 51 a $5M feature so he is working his way up the ladder.

I agree. 11-15k investment brings you 300K CASH money? I couldn't cry about that. I'd be a little "GRRR" but then, I just remember that I just cashed out at 280K or so profit.

I think this is a situation that ALL of us hope to be in.

All I know is Paramount didn't want a damn thing to do with it but I thought Schneider had funds from an investor but no dist deal so dunno if they are going to go through with it or not.
 
I read somewhere on the net that Paramount would WANT to make a sequel, seeing as the first film made over 80m..

Paramount is in talks about a sequil to PA, I'm sure it is the high dollar remake they had planned this whole time.
 
Chip said that Paramount didn't want a damn thing to do with it, so I was saying how I found somewhere that they would want to cause of the films grosse...

Robbie, you understand that Paramount doesn't want a damn thing to do with Area 51, Paramount is in talks for a PA sequil.

Just making sure we are on the same page.
 
Did anyone get the email asking you if you want your name in the credits for the PA dvd?

If you requested it in your city online they will put your name in the dvd credits. Man, that's going to be a lot of names but what a sweet marketing play.
 
this one was great up until the last shot. she should have starting chewing on his body or something. and then levitate out of the room
