Hey there, It's my first post and like most people here I have done a lot of reading the last 4 months to familiarize myself with the hVX ( Mattebox, M2 ect..). With the recommendation of many I want to get the marshall lcd. I read a thread about Nebtek doing a battery up grade with the lcd and I want to know, if I buy about 4 gga-d54s Panasonic batteries to use with the camera and Lcd, IS there some sought of multi charger to charge 2 batteries why I use the other 2, then swap when needed?
What ya think?

it would be cool if it came with a free battery atleast. no money for a second batter , no reason for a multi battery charger.

titoflaz just remember that although the dolgin is a fine battery charger you may need to upgrade your camera and monitor at a later stage. I have the 7' Marshall and the Panasonic battery plate but have decided on an external XLR battery source for use with the camera and monitor. I wish I had looked at this option before buying five extra batterys, I did not buy the charger and am glad I didnt as you will more than likley get more use out of an XLR battey system even if it is innitally more expensive. The plus side is that you can use this with most professional monitors and cameras down the line.

4 Pin XLR (powered) is one of the most popular ways of powering professional cameras and monitors. Have a look at the back of the Varicam or Panasonic BT-LH1700W monitor or any of the professional broadcast equipment. Most of them come equipped with 4 pin XLR's. The great thing about XLR powered batteries is that they are cross platform and will work on a variety of equipment; unlike manufacturers batteries which usually tie you to their products. I learnt the hard way to invest in an upgradeable power system; although innately more expensive it will save you in the long run. You ca buy a 4 pin XLR adaptor for the HVX from Dolgin Engineering, its not cheap but then again I firmly believe going XLR will save you money down the line should you wish to use other professional equipment.

Hey RayFrisby thanks for the other option. i could not imagine upgrading the HVX200 to anything else but who knows what they will come up with next. I will check the xlr way out. I would like to hear of any xlr systems you recommend?

I bought my stuff here: http://batteries4broadcast.com/

I am able to run my Flyer, Panasonic BT-LH1700W LCD monitor, and Marshall with the v-mounts (IDX/Sony) I got from them. Don't forget to order the PT-C20X . . . that's the one with the XLR connector.
