UPDATE: while I'm still awaiting payment on one order, it appears all tape has sold. Thanks, DVXuser community. All transactions went smoothly.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A large project I'm working on switched in mid-stream from tape to hard drive capture, and I have for sale 3 unopened cases plus 5 unopend boxes of my favorite pro tape for the DVX and HVX. This is the tape that's recommended as the top choice in my DVX and HVX manuals. (In the HVX manual it's listed on page 31.) Panny's tech support said that the master tape (that I'm selling here) is a bit more robust than the other tape they recommend in the manual -- I was told it was roughly 2x as durable.

This is a dry lubricant tape. There are some reports of problems when switching on a given camera from one tape brand or type to another with a given camera, reportedly because of incompatibilities in the lubricant formula. I decided to stay with Panny's top dry lubricant tape, and haven't regretted it.

I do regret, however, buying so much tape up front!

Prices: I'd prefer to not sell this in small quantities, due to the time it would take to set up shipment to various people.

Each boxed case holds 50 rolls. I'm thinking $3.50 a roll is a good price at that quantity, plus shipping at my cost; I have a FedEx account. That's $175/box plus shipping.

(For comparison, the cheapest price I found today on shopping.com was $4.00/roll, which happened to be in 10 roll quantities, at http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...time-ce-mpfeed-20&camp=212325&creative=380341.)

If it doesn't move in that quantity, I'd sell 25 rolls at a time at $3.75/roll, which is $93.75, plus shipping.

Please PM me if you're interested. As far as generating some confidence in proceeding with a transaction, you can get a bit of a sense of my company at www.westwoodcreek.com.

I haven't figured out how to add pictures to DVXuser posts (the FAQ says to hit the "brouse" button here, but I've yet to find one) but I've put a picture on the web at:

Karl, many thanks for the photo-posting tip.

Mike and tarionyx, I'll let you know if I decide to go down that much. B & H is selling this tape for over $5/roll, and I think my price is quite fair, but I could be wrong!

I have decided, though, to include shipping with the $175/case price, as long as it's via FedEx ground, in the USA. And I do take paypal.

I still plan, however, on adding whatever Fedex charges for shipping to the price when selling the 25 quantity (5 boxes of 5 tapes).

Thanks,

Stephen
