Panny HMC150 timelapse

I am trying to incorporate some "fast cloud" footage from an HMC150 in FCP7. The footage was captured at 24fps and when I try to play the footage at around 2500% of original speed, the footage plays briefly, then I get a pop-up telling me that I "dropped frames" and the playback cannot continue.

Am I exceeding the abilities of my processor to keep up? I'm working on a new MacBook Pro with the 2.8GHz processor.

Rendering solved the problem. Duh.
