Panny Battery Adapter For Marshall Monitor

I know that Nebtek sells a modified version of the Marshall HD monitor which allows a user to mount Panasonic batteries on it, which is definitely cool. Does anyone know if it's possible to buy this adapter independent of the monitor? I already have the Marshall monitor, and I've checked the Nebtek site, but can't find a conclusive answer on this.....

Thanks!

Or, can you send it in to have it modified.

I also have the monitor before I knew about the Nebtek mod. Be nice to only have to carry one battery type in the field.

The adapter is not advertised on the Nebtek site -- they only have the Marshall monitor advertised with the Nebtek mod, which is useless for people who already have the monitor. I called Nebtek and they DO, in fact, sell the adapter separately. It's about $210.00, it screws into the Vmount plate on the back of the Marshall -- then you can use the Panny batteries.

It actually goes in place of the v-mount. You have to open up the monitor from the front (4 screws ) and change a set of wires. It's pretty easy to do.

I just got the Marshall and the Panasonic upgrade from Nebtek and mine doesn't work that way. It is a completely separate piece that snaps on and off like a V-mount battery and has a short cord that plugs into the power port on the monitor. I can use either a V-mount (which my Steadicam uses) or the Panasonic battery from the HVX. As far as I know, there was nothing modified about the monitor itself. Nice to have options because I routinely carry both types of batteries.

Rob at Nebtek is great by the way. Give them a call and they will set you up.

Rob told me the same thing a while back. No problem to add their Panny adapter to a Marshall, completely externally.

Like KevinM and Ted stated, it fits into the V mount, externally. I just got the piece in the mail. It's a perfect fit onto the back of the Marshall, just tested it with a Panny battery and it worked perfectly. Of course, $210.00 seems a little crazy for this little plastic piece with a cable attached, but nothing surprises me about the cost of stuff in this cinematography game, especially if like only ONE company is making the piece! :)

Oh ok, mine must be an earlier model. I like the idea of using the v-mount at times though, may have to change it.

This is exactly what I have been looking for. What kind of run times are you getting from, say, the DVX User batteries?
