Panny anamorphic lens question

Got used Panny anamorphic lens at bargain price, due to 'focus' issues....decided it was worth the risk, mounted on camera, image looked fine on LCD, will shoot and screen footage on apple cinema monitor next week; anyone else have hardware/focus issues with lens, ideas on DIY fixes?

This adapter is an absolute female dog to work with.

I think I'm leaning towards shooting 4:3 and framing in post because there's a slew of add-ons not available for the LA-7200g

It can take some getting used to for focus, and you can't get too close to your subject. Once you get the hang of it the lens is worth it in my opinion, especially on a 100p (no squeeze mode).

Are the 'focus issues' something other than the usual? Is the particular adapter defective in some way?

The best add-on I got was having part of the lens hood shaved off to fit the Chrosziel matte box. Helps tremendously with flare and allows for filters -- just don't zoom wider than Z16 or you'll start seeing matte box in the shot.

If you dont have Barry Greens DVX book - get it....... it has the best methods for focusing with the ana lense.

I have a link for the Chrosziel matte box in my favorites. Would I need to send the lens away for modification?
