NO, NO, NO. Damn you Canon >:( I'm so confused. I was gonna buy a dvx100A, before the school year began, but now I hear Canon is coming out with the xl2 in August. At first it was between the vx100 and dvx100, now it's between the dvx100 and the xl2. I'm so confused :-/ Which one should I get? The only reasons I can think of to get the xl2 are the true 16x9, 680k CCD, and 16 bit audio. I'M GOING CRAZY. What if the xl2 is better than dvx100? What if the 24p is better than dvx100? HELP ME!

Re: PANIC ATTACK

people people people

Technology is always gonna change and improve.

There's always going to be something better and better.
Focus on your project and artistic vision and do the best you can with the camera you got at the time.

Re: PANIC ATTACK

Much less, I wouldn't say the XL2 was worth the $1500USD extra (about) for the features it has over the DVX. Most people never use anything but the stock lens (so the interchangability is useless) and the higher resolution 16:9, while good, can be gotten for $800USD with the anamorphic.

It's not a revolution. It's Canon getting back in the game: now that they are, we've got a rival, not a successor, to the DVX.
