Yeah anyone know what will be the price for the 4K cam from pany ? I won't buy another 1080p camera.I think 1080p is nearing it's final days judging all the latest offerings from Canon,JVC,Panasonic,Sony.Red has some competition now.I think all the manufacturers are ganging up to stop the " Red Menace" taking over the world.Where have I heard that before ? oh well.
1080P isn't nearing it's final days. The best camera in the world, the ARRI Alexa, is 1080P.
The literature seems to specifically state "1xMOS chip" so it seems to be a single chip camera. Is that correct? It seems bizarre if so. All else equal, a single chip camera will lose at least a stop of native sensitivity compared to a comparable three chip version. So surely this must mean it will be comparable for sensitivity to a three chip 1/2" camera? Can anyone confirm that the HPX600 uses 3 CMOS chips? Is it possible it only uses one? All the literature says "sensor," as in singular.
