I'm considering getting the Pan PCD2 card reader and have read it requires two USB connections to the computer. USB connections come at a premium on my machine and I was curious if a standard 110v mini USB charger (think Motorola or Blackberry) would power the adapter and thus only require one USB port on the computer?

In theory it would work. I'm curious if anyone else has tried?
 
Just a followup. I am still curious if this is possible. I'm just now getting back around to it since I am in the market for the reader again.

Anyone tried using a wall wart with the panny reader?
 
Haven't tried it but it seems like it should work... anyone out there with a PCD2 and an iPhone who can help Jody out by trying this? Plug one USB into the computer and the other USB into your iPhone wall charger and let us know if it works...
 
Thanks Barry, it's not a gaiting issue, I'm just curious.
But sometimes I use my Macbook Air to offload footage and would need my 2nd USB port :thumbsup:
