Panasonic MQ Tape - 63 min vs 83 min ??

Other then cost, are there any pros or cons of choosing between the 63 and 83 minute tapes?

Is one stronger then the other etc?

The 83 tape is thinner (to fit in case). IMO not worth using to save a few bucks

That is exactly what I was thinking that the 83 min was thinner which could also make it more fragile when forwarding or rewinding.

I've also heard that tapes that long are bad for the heads. Is that true?

I don't think the tapes are bad for the heads, I think that they are just fragile.
