Dear Jan,
Please allow me to express my great sadness and distress and offer my condolences over the profound loss of your husband. Even though Phil was sick for some time, it is still a great shock to hear that he is no longer with us. Phil was a wonderful man who always had other's interests in mind. We found great pleasure working with Phil over the years. His technical knowledge coupled with great personality made Phil a great asset to Panasonic and I feel honored to have known Phil and considered him a friend. I wish to extend my heartfelt sympathies to you Jan, his family and all those who knew Phil. We deeply share in your mourning.

My only regret is that I never had the pleasure of meeting him.

For those of you like me, I thought it only fitting to be able to put a face to the name. This is the only picture I could find of him.

Thank you all for the kind words. It has now been 2 months and it is getting easier, but I miss him every day. And now with all of the magazines printing the memorials, it is so touching. It is helping in that it gets those grief tears flowing, they all have to come out before I can get to the other side of it. ;-)
