Panasonic Authorized Mailorder Dealers?

Hey guys. I know there's some talk about an authorized dealers "list", though I can't seem to get ahold of it anywhere.

My main question was this - Is www.NewEgg.com an authorized panny dealer? I would certainly think that they are, though nowhere on their DVX product page do they mention anything about a rebate, free stuff, or anything. It's of course a possibility that they aren't aware of the offer, so they haven't posted it in the product page.. but it just seems out-of-character for newegg. If anyone knows the answer to this question, I would absolutely love a reply. I tried calling panasonic at about 30 different phone numbers today to find out, but no one seems to be around (it's saturday). So is Newegg an authorized panasonic dealer? Thanks guys!

By the way, I plan on purchasing my first DVX new over the next few days :).. probobly from newegg if they're authorized :D
 
Yeah.. We talked with Rush a few days ago over the phone. Money is a bit tight for me, so I need to find the absolute cheapest dealer. It turns out that Newegg is over-all (inc shipping, discounts, etc) about $75 less than what Rush had quoted us. I would really really like to go with rush. He's seems to be a great guy, and I 'd always much rather support them than a huge company like newegg, but for me $75 is a little bit too much of a difference. If Newegg isn't authorized I'll be going with Rush at EVS. Thanks guys!

So I'm still trying to find out - is Newegg.com an authorized panny dealer?
 
Jeff, I don't think Newegg is an authorized dealer. They are a great company of course, one of the highest ranking on Reseller Ratings but they may not be the best choice for warranty/replacement reasons in the future. That savings of $75 won't mean much if you need to take the camera in for service - and you find out the camera wasn't purchased at an authorized dealer. Check out Panasonic's website here to find authorized dealers. I entered Newegg's zipcode - 91746 - and their name did not come up.
 
Yeah I did the same thing - looked up their zip and nothing came up. I googled a bunch of stuff to find out, and I found nothing. Thanks for your help guys. I guess I'll just contact panasonic on monday and probobly end up ordering from rush :)
