Not sure if anyone is watching CES Press Conferences, but Panasonic just teased their 4k Varicam. Said to be released late this year and is making it's appearance at NAB.

Very cool. Have any links or additional info?

Cool to hear they are focusing on the business/broadcast side of 4k. While 4k is not always requested by broadcasters, I can't imagine security cameras not benefiting from a good 4k system. Also, 4k displays are so much cooler to walk up to at a trade show than an HD or SD one.

Was it always pronounced "vurrcam"?

I've love the features to price-point that panasonic has been offering. Will be curious to see the iq and pricing of the varicam.
