Pan & Scan?

This is a very pre-purchase question. I haven't even got the camera yet.

I've read how I can bring 16x9 video (recorded using the anamorphic adapter) into Vegas, and Vegas can stretch it out to the real 16x9 dimensions.

But what if I then need to make a 4x3 version? Can Vegas do Pan&Scan? Not just setting a different cropping/composition at the beginning of each scene, but being able to set start- and end-points mid-scene, and have Vegas pan smoothly from one composition to the next.

Can do?

yes the panning in vegas is very powerful, you might need to zoom a little though.

I just download the Vegas demo, and played with the Pan & Scan. Very cool. Now to clear up enough room on the credit card.
