I have a few films in miniDV 4:3 avi and a few done with the HVX200, 720pN 25p.

For the miniDV 4:3 should I then choose the first option (29.976 NTSC) and for the 25p work the option 24p -> NTSC 3-2 pulldown ?

There are two things that I could think of that you can try off the top of my head.

The first would be to change your project settings to what you want them to be before even going into procoder express.

EDIUS is pretty good about handling multiple formats on a timeline. For your mini dv, just put it on a ntsc timeline. For your 25p footage, change your project settings to the dvcpro HD 24hz "NTSC" equivalent.

Then, you can play your footage on the timeline and see how it looks with the conversion.

Whether you do this or not, when outputting the 25p stuff, I would recommend that you select generic target, then render out at as m2p. Rather than going through the DVD wizard. This will give you the option to render out 23.976p without pullodown. You don't need to worry about pulldown with dvd's anyways. Any dvd player will be able to add pulldown when necessary.

Does that make sense?

Later,
Jason
