Pal playback on ntsc tv with component.

I was just wondering if it is possible to playback a pal hd camcorder on an american TV... will it work, if not is there some sort of an adapter needed?

Depends on how good a quality you want. There's expensive ways of doing this, or inexpensive. If you simply want a quick conversion for simple monitoring/playback, about the cheapest is something like this:
