Pal conversion with music?

Hey Folks
In a few days I will have to convert some footage over to PAL. No worries there. But what concerns me is that it is classical music footage, and the PAL conversion seems to alter the pitch slightly. Me thinks my classically trained clients are not going to be too fond of that. Any ideas? Thanks.

How are you converting? If you are using the "regular" way of frame interpolating there shouldn't be a speed change, I just checked, I have a 49 minute movie here that I converted using Canopus Procoder and it has the exact same length, NTSC or PAL. It's just if you are using some pulldown method (which only works with 24p NTSC video anyway) that the speed is changed.
