I'm a first time independent filmmaker planning a two-week (roughly) shoot for a feature film in Dallas between December 27 and January 7.
My original plan was to rent a DVX-100 and have my friend, a DP, photograph the film, but he unfortunately defected after getting another job.
So now, I'm looking to enlist anyone with a DVX-100 in the Dallas/Fort Worth area who would like to shoot an ultra-low budget film. Compensation for the camera rental and services would probably be around $1000 up front for rental and shooting, with a back end if the movie winds up with prizewinnings or production, in addition to meals and such.
Camera operator would get DP credit on the film, although I don't really NEED someone with advanced DP skills so much as I need someone who will operate a DVX100 effectively. I will be providing the lighting, which, in accordance with the nonexistant budget, consists pretty much of 500 watt work lights and shower curtains as diffusion.

The skills required are minimal, with most shots being simple tripod setups, with only a few pans/tilts and such, so I'm catering this as much to the newbie DVX100 users in the area as the pros. Tripod
Mic and monitor would be additionally helpful, but not absolutely necessary.
