Pag c-6 battery question

Hey All,

Just got my c-6 kit from EVS today, been charging the battery for 5 hrs and still a solid red light on the battery charger. Had it overnighted for a last minute shoot tomorrow, starting to get a little panicky. The literature says 2-3 hours for a charge. Does a first charge take longer? Does the red light actually flash when charging is done? Tried it with the light and it does work, just worried it'll crap out on my most important shoot tomorrow.

Thanks,

Stu

Re: Pag c-6 battery question

Short flash red = recovery
Fast red = Charging
Long flash = Ready
The first charge take longer time

Re: Pag c-6 battery question

My first charge on a C6 for rentals has always been 6-7 hrs, and best to leave it longer to really get that NiCD capped. You should be ok. Subsequent charges have always been 4-5 hrs. I wonder if it's bec those times were for 220V (The unit is made in UK) and we are 110V here in the states, so it takes 2x longer.... ???
