Pack your (audio) bags

Feeling the need to be more audio organized, I bought a small Petrol Eargonizer Bag. I am not a pro-sound guy, but I am embracing more complicated and formal audio situations in my video work.

Now a question for all you pro audio guys:

Starting with your mixer and bag, how do you organize your bag for a field shoot? What do you carry in the bag, while in use? I would appreciate info about how you work on set.

Best Regards,
Grant

This is my Kata DC-445 camera bag for all my audio equipment:

From left to right I have a 6m XLR cable (in the far left side pocket), next is a 10m XLR cable, top center is a charger for 1.5V and 9V batteries and on top a pair of Sony headphones.
Bottom center I have an Audio Technica AT-8415 and a hot shoe mount also from Audio Technica, a small Gorilla pod and above the bottom compartments is an Audio Technica AT-897 shot gun mic.

Top right is an Audio Technica PRO-70 lavalier with power module, a Sony PCM-D50. Bottom right is a Sennheiser EW112-G2 wireless lavalier set. (You can see the antennas).
In the right side pocket I have a couple of cables and windscreens for the different mics. The lid has pockets for batteries and some adapter cables.

I don't use this bag when I record but to carry and store all my audio gear.

Thanks Editman,

That is a nice tidy kit.

Do you run a mixer bag? That is what I am really interested in.

Not sure exactly what you're looking for, but here are a few pics of different rigs
I have.
Other than the actual "gear" I pretty much only carry the small mic cases you
can see inside the bag.
In those cases I have all kinds of mounting items.
Mole Skin, toupee tape, microcats, etc.

If you want more details just ask.

Rippie, Thanks for the photo.

Nice looking setup, and exactly the type of info I wanted. Seeing the power distribution box on the right, I take it you have one battery to power everything? What is the plug to the left of the Lecto reciever?

Thats the SRa5p receiver.
Basicly has a 5pin output (2x outputs, shared ground) up there as well
as the bottom, so if its mounted in a camera slot you can access the outputs.

I havent used it, nor do I see myself using it but for like $100 bux or so more
figured it was worth having just in case.

In that small rig, I power everything off of 1 lithium NP1 battery.
Homemade distribution. (never again would I buy the over priced BDS system)

In that particular large setup I would power the lectro's off of 1 NP1
but I have 6 large capacity Sony batteries that I power the 788T with directly.

Thanks again Rippie,

How do you keep your cables organized? Do you hang them on carbiners or something similar?
