Has anyone used a PC Lighting system and what did you think of it? A guy I work with is thinking about buying a pair for a single shot of someone talking. It's going to be broadcasted after a news segment. Fairly simple and that is what they are looking for in lighting. Simple, light, doesn't radiate a lot of heat and doesn't use a lot of electricity.
 
Hello every body,
I have buy the 5760w day light kit but I have not yet receive the kit !!!!! I am waiting since 25 days !!! I precsie that I have talking by phone a the begining of purchase but after I payed they don't reply to my question about track number !!!!! Pacific coast Lighting System don't reply to my E-mails !!! And there is nobody when I call by phone !!!
 
Same here!

I ordered the dayflow set at the beginning of Februari. Still haven't heard anything!

I had the guy on the phone on monday, he said he would figure out what was going on, and I could call him back within half an hour.

Since then I cannot reach them by phone or by email.

Their site says that they are open at california times... weird :-S

Yeah, a little far off the Pacific coast. Maybe their office is in Cali and their warehouse is, um, in Wisconsin. Maybe somebody told them that lake Winnebago is the Pacific ocean and doesn't have the heart to tell them the truth...

A frend with me (living in L.A) called Pacific Coast Lighting Systems for me.

He have talk with a women. This women said that :

1/ She cannot find the track number of parcel !! It's "not easy"...
2/ 10 or 15 days of waiting it's not enough. Wait another 5 days . And if parcel does not arrive at home she will make an investigation...
3/ She can't do more for the moment !

They send the parcel by boat ????? It's a shame.

If that's true, it could take a while. :-(

No no she doesn't say that ! It was a question "They send the parcel by boat ?????" just to explain the long time of shippment...

In any way it's a shame.
 
Contact your credit card company to dispute the charge if necessary.
They probably drop ship from California. If they don't have any methods in place to track orders, shipments and such, don't do business with them.
If you decide not to cancel the order and you don't get your items..

If you don't get your order within a reasonable time (lets say 6 weeks, which is extremely generous) contact the Wisconson State Attorney Generals office and report them for fraud. (Thats assuming they took the order in WI).

While the name is deceptive, it's not illegal to call yourself that. Here in VA, there are Palm Beach tanning salons, even though Palm Beach is in Florida.

Actually 25 days is not that long to wait for an international shipment. Sometimes it can get held up in a customs warehouse somewhere. But the fact you have not been able to contact anyone or get a tracking number is a red flag!
 
I just received an email from PCL, saying they have trouble with the transport method and insurance.

They will refund my order.
Too bad it took so long to hear this, but I gladly have an answer now.

@ ozduc: Yes, that is a red flag!, I think if you live in the US, there would be no problem

<edit2> Now we wait for the refund.... hope this doesn't take 25 days </edit2>
