P2 workflow using a PC then to Mac

I will be using a PC laptop with a P2 card reader from my HVX recording in the field, but will need to edit on a Mac with FCP later. Firstly what software should I use to capture the footage on the PC to be able to use in FCP later or could I just copy the MXF files from the P2 card without affecting them so I could open them in FCP?

What would any of you suggest of how I would do this?
 
Just copy the footage over to an external FAT32 drive. Then remove that drive, plug it into the Mac, and you're ready to L&T. It's effortless, really.
 
What I do is I use P2 Viewer om my Windows laptop, make a Virtual Card on a external FAT32 drive for the project, copy all the cards for the day to that, give the drive to the mac guy, and he can ingest it on his side.
