P2 Store AJ-PCS060 Workflow Problem

After extensive research on these hundreds of P2 store top?cs located here and elsewhere I still can not find a solution to importing files from the P2 Store into my Mac Pro. I have converted the P2 Store into Mac as the USB led lights in orange. But when I try to install I see different audio, video, clip folders with either .xml files, or .mxf files and neither Final Cut nor anything else is able to open them? Can anyone help me with this problem, I need to do an important shoot this weekend. Thanks.
 
The key is that you must IMPORT the files into Final Cut (at least 5.1.2) before you can use them. Go to File > Import > Panasonic P2 and import your clips. They'll come in as .mov files which wraps up all the various audio, index files into one neat package. These you can work with in FCP. Unfortunately Apple appear to have pulled a handy manual on P2 workflow, but it's in the PDF manual for Final Cut.
