P2 playback with PPro CS3 and Matrox AXIO LE

Hey gang - I'm shooting with my HVX200 and cutting on my Axio LE system. PPro CS3 has several project presets. Some are Adobe and the others are Matrox. I'm want to be sure I'm using the correct project presets to edit my footage. For instance, when I shoot 30p or 24p SD footage how should the footage be interpreted? My clip properties always shows 29.97fps regardless if I shoot at 30/24. I'm seeing more then usual jitter at 24p and I'm not sure if it's the HVX or my project setting causing the jitter. Any advice?

Are you shooting DV? 30p will always show 29.97, because it is. But CS3 should recognize the 24p stuff, either pulldown, with no problems.

Hi David - I'm shooting (SD) DVCPro50 30p/24p. I just read on another forum that Matrox Axio LE requires you shoot in 24pA for it to interpret the footage properly. That will probably fix my issue shooting 24p.

Not sure about the jitter shooting in 30p. I'm using the Matrox project presets in PPro 3 to utilize the hardware acceleration, WYSIWYG features, real time color correction, etc.
