(P2) PCMCIA cards to Desktop (PC)

Maybe this has been discussed previously but..

Is there anyway to access a P2 card directly to a PC desktop computer via a PCMIA card reader?

Yes you can get a cheap $70 PCI->PCMCIA adapter that mounts in a PCI slot and has a PCMCIA card slot that sticks out the back of the computer.

That, or you can get the Panasonic 5-slot reader, but that runs something like $2000-$2500 and connects through USB. The PCI->PCMCIA adapter would be much faster and a lot less expensive; the only thing is that you have to fit cards into the back of your desktop.

Thanx for fast reply Barry and also congrats on your excellent HVX Book.

Is the PCMCIA adapter tested and known to work?
