P2 import error

I'm hoping someone can give me a hand with this. I shot a bunch of footage with my HVX200 on a firestore, organized p2 and copied the contents and lastclip files to an external harddrive. Now I'm trying to import the footage using a Macbook Pro 2.16 Intel Core 2 Duo with 1GB RAM. When I go to import P2, all the thumbnails and files show up but I'm having some issues. First, I can't preview any of the clips. Second, the clips that are spanned will not import. When I add them to the cue, I get the red exclamation point which says "Error:Unknown". All the non-spanned clips import just fine. I'm really hoping someone can help me with this because I'm dying to edit some of this footage.

Please feel free to throw out any suggestions. I don't have very much experience with this equipment but really need to get going.
