P2 Footage back up from FCP

I'd like to store on disc my footage from P2 that I put into FCP to edit.
When I imported the files into FCP, They became mov's
Now that I am done with my project, I'd like ot save those raw mov's on disc.
How do i do that?

Copy them to a disk. You just drag and drop the files to the disk you want to save them on. Unless I'm missing something in your question.

What do you mean by raw mov's? The original P2 files, or the QuickTime files? Either way, you copy the Contents folder and Lastclip.txt file to your archive drive, or just the QuickTime mov's.

I was trying to move the actual clip from the bin onto the DVD folder but would not go over...
Am i missing a step?
Thanks,
Ray

Can you be more speicific? You want to burn the QuickTime movies to a DVD? You don't move them inside FCP. You have to copy the original files from the Capture Scratch folder. Not sure what you mean by a "DVD folder".

Inside FCP, the Bin represents the orginal clips on your hard drive. You can't actually move the clip inside FCP, you do that with the OS, in the Finder.

Hey Ben,
I am backing them up to a DVD.
I am using what you recommended and copying from the Capture scratch folder since my footage is already Quicktime files...
Thanks For your Help!!!
How are things in Louisiana

Aside from being over my head in an Estate Sale to sell off all my late mother's stuff that I can't fit in my house, thus being an emotional train wreck this weekend, things are just peachy.

Ok, Estate Sale is over, and I'm a few enough dollars ahead enough to make things all better... for the most part. Hello HD TV screen! Any recomendations? Just kidding, I'll post for HDTV screens in the Cafe forum.

The weather this time of year down here is PERFECT! Totally awesome. Somedays you can't hold it together for s***, some days it's good to be alive. Balance, you gotta find your personal balance...
