p2 final cut express

I have a friend who wants to edit his short shot on p2 cards on his final cut express. will converting the files in raylight work in express? I am an avid man and don't know squat about final cut express/pro.

Nope- it's the frame rates more than anything that would be an issue. Time for FCP...

Well, depends on what codec he shot in and at what frame rate; if it's DV at 60i then it would work, but if it's HD then FCE doesn't have the codec necessary. And if it's 24p then FCE doesn't support that, right? So if it's either HD or 24p, you'd be moving over to FCP or some other editor other than FCE.
