Many Windows laptops have the slot already built in. For those that don't, but have an ExpressCard slot, you can get inexpensive adapters like the Addonics or Rosewill, although frankly they don't seem to work for large "E" series cards. I have a Rosewill and it works great on "R" and "A" cards, but not on a 32GB or 64GB "E" card.
For the lowest-cost ultimately-reliable unit, get the AG-PCD2 (or is it AJ-PCD2?) two-slot USB reader.
