Is there a way to tel usage on P-2 cards? I'm in the market for 32gb A series card and want to be able to tell how used it is. A series is the unlimited use card right?

Thanks in advance.

100,000 rewrite cycles, so ... while it's not "unlimited" in theory, in reality it's going to be extremely unlikely that you'll reach the lifespan limit of an "A"-series card.

Are you looming at a used P2 card? They're pretty resilient little buggers, but I don't think I would buy a used one. Maybe that's just me though.

The "E" series, you might have to be a little cautious about buying used because of the limited lifespan. But the "R" or "A" series, I wouldn't worry at all... unless maybe it was used 24-hours a day, like in a surveillance camera or something.

There are only two types of P2 cards correct? The E series and the A series? I know they discontinued the R series. I have found R series cards used online but that's about it. I have two 16gb E series cards, and two 16gb A series cards. Are the R series cards any better than the A series?

No, there are at least four. There were the original cards (only ever offered in 4GB and 8GB sizes), then there were the "R" series. Then the "R" were replaced with the "A" series, which are newer and faster. And then the "E" were introduced, designed to be a low-cost alternative (and also faster than any other P2 card).
