P2 and AE render problem

I have the CS3 Production Premium. I am trying to render out a short clip from AE using native mxf files from the hvx200. Every time I render the render stops and gives the 'a non-compatible quicktime format' message. I tried exporting the mxf files from avid to a quicktime movie so AE can use it and it worked but very troublesome.

Is it the quicktime version I have? I use avid to determine which quicktime version I need.
