Anyone work with this adaptor?
I was going to rent one for my shoot but wanted to see how much of a learning curve was involved.

It would be for sit down interviews.

Thanks for any advice or tips.

I'm using one on my short film that's shooting on Monday.

We went over to the rental house and tried it out on my HVX last Tuesday and it was amazing. We hooked the camera up to an HD monitor and the difference was clear from the beginning. We shot something similar to an interview (an actor sitting in a chair against a wall with a chart on it) and you could really get a true sense of depth.

As for a lerning curve, your rental house should show you how to hook it up to the camera, get it going, change out the lenses, etc...it's an easy process and once you do it a couple times it'll become second nature.

What lens did you end up renting? Also what place did you rent from, my shoot is NYC as well.

Thanks!

I rented from Du-All on West 29th St.

They're great guys and are totally helpful. I rented the Mini35 package with the Zeiss Prime Lens Set which has an 18, 25, 35, 50 & 85mm...it also comes with a mattebox, follow focus, tripod and monitor.

I'll be posting stills from my shoot next week...
