I have 20 min footage over which I want to put another 20-min layer of footage that has the following repeating sequence: 1 second of footage, 4 seconds of pure black (or greenscreen). I want the 1 sec segment of footage to be on top and the 4-sec pure black segment of the upper layer to be transparent and show the footage underneath it in the lower layer. I’ve tried various greenscreen approaches, but nothing works. What do I need to do to combine both layers, with the top layer showing through only during the 1 second part of each 5-sec segment?
The footage is too long to do an opacity change by hand, as that would mean putting it in every 5 seconds over the whole 20 minutes. I’m looking for an easier, more elegant solution.
