Overlapping Video

I took some footage of me walking in from one side of the camera frame and starting a conversation. i left the camera as is and took some footage of me walking in from the other side of the frame and responding to the conversation. how can i get both these clips to mesh with each other without any fadeouts?

i'm using Vegas 7e.

I don't know if this is the best way? There may be others, but try this:

Create 2 Video tracks and line up the action. Create a Video Event FX on the first track.

Use the Cookie Cutter under Video FX.

Choose the Square Shape. Method = Cut away section.

Border = 0.00. Repeat Y: = 2. Size = 0.250.

Center X: = 0.750 Center Y: = 0.500

As I said, there may be other ways. Good luck with this.
