Overhead camera mount

I'm trying to rig up something. Either do it yourself or bought. I want to be able to mount a C 100 camera right overhead a table. So that I can shoot straight down to make how to videos. I tried using a tripod at the top of its height. But it doesn't get the right angle. So, ideally, it would be something that had mount a fluid head tripod head to. And I needed to be solid so that there isn't any unwanted camera movement. Anyone have ideas?

Just bought a Manfrotto 131DB side arm for exactly this purpose.

You will need to mount it onto a tripod plate and also (ideally) mount a quick release system & plate to one end and will need something the other end to balance it but it all works just fine for top down shots.

As an alternative method, I have used a light weight mirror mounted overhead a stove at an angle to shoot a cooking show. That way the camera stays mounted properly on a tripod rather than mounted above. Just a thought.

I used a monopod and a boom pole holder with a gh4. I achieved significant reach at the cost of some movement, but if you choked up on the monopod and didn't use the c-stand arm at all, with plenty of weight on the base, it could work.

Thanks for the replies! I lean towards the most stable option, especially since the c100 is a bit heavy. The mirror idea is very interesting! I might try it. Any other solid ideas for mounting overhead? I worry that the monfroto strategy wouldn't be stable enough for my camera.
