overexposed dvx footage

I have a question about treating over exposed DVX footage in FCP. I have an interview shot outdoors in intense sun. There are hotspots on forehead, part of cheek and nose. Any suggestions about filters or plug ins that might help to fill-in the hot spot, almost like a clone tool in photoshop? I have used many of the filters available, and have had success closing in on it, but that hot spot still burns. Many thanks, filmbee
