Overexposed areas flick

Hi, I'm a newbie with the DVX and I have the following problem:

I shot some footage outdoors and some areas were a little overexposed (hard to use DV in the tropics). Whenever I try to capture it, there is flicker on these overexposed areas. The funny thing is: when I am watching the tape, during capture, the image is fine as is on my desktop. But whenever I preview it on my monitor the flicker begins...

How do I solve this??????

I believe this is a bug in 1.5 and the only fix that I know of is to upgrade to 2.0.

Although if you are using 1.5 ,ake sure your using the latest, which I believe is 1.5.1.

this is a "glitch" in premiere pro 1/5 however if you throw on a color correcting filter like levels or color limiter it will autimatically put your footage in proper limits even if you dont adjut anything on the filter (its wierd i know) and then the flickering will go away. Also this only happens to 24p footage i beleive.

I've got the same problem, shooting indoors with windows open and the windows are overexposed and completely white.

They flicker as well and I cant figure out how to stop it.
