One of the things I miss being able to do easily with my DVX100A that my 16mm could do easily foremost among them:
Over/Undercranking
is there an easier way to overcrank the dvx some sort of programming/in camera settings or is it all a matter of doing battle with avid?
If so would it be a matter of changing the frame rate under motion effects and then filming the motion slow enough to be convincingly sped up to say 170fps (miniature effects) but in which case I may wouldn't I lose the scale effect anyway?
Has anyone had luck shooting minis with the dvx?

60i hmm will have to give that a try, should be better than normal and having more info to work with in post will help.. Still it would be a nice feature in future cameras to have the frame rate option be easier to mess with.
Thanks

In Barry Green's video on the DVX is great information on how to speed up and slow down footage using various frame rates, shutter speeds, and then the % of original speed at which to alter in post. Great results.
