Over lapping frames

I have just rendered a timeline and am giving it to an associate for color correction in a different NLE. The timeline has no overlapping frames but the rendered footage has over lapping frames and the events cannot be cleanly separated. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Appreciatively,

If what you say is true, then it's a bug... I can't think of any reason why else this would happen.
Zoom in to the timeline to make sure you have no overlapping frames.

Also, re-load that file on your own NLE and see if it plays back the way your colorist claims to. If no, then it's a bug on your colorist's codec and not on your side.

It can happen if render to a different frame rate from what the footage is; when it's resampled, you may see it.

Is this what you did?

I changed the setting when rendering to progressive as the footage was shot in progressive and that fixed the problem. Thank-you both so much for your help.
