I am going to be shooting the next project I do in 16:9 with the anamorphic adaptor (no squeeze mode).
I want to be able to choose if I want to have the bars above and below the picture (on a 4:3 TV) or crop the sides, blow up the picture and have smaller bars above and below the picture. I wwant to be able to do this myself because the place I take my stuff to get transfered wants too much money for this.
Can anyone help?

I believe the software you're looking for is called PhotoZoom, which allows for upressing single pictures. The issue of uprezzing has been discussed extensively on this board just do search. Why don't you just shoot 4:3 and crop in post to 16:9? I believe that's the way most of the movies is done. I would also imagine with upressing the picture and then cropping you would be loosing some resolution. I have similar dilemma as I'm planning for a shoot and want the 4:3 and 16:9 ration myself. that's why I'm not even gonna use anamorphic, too much husttle in the long run IMO.

Good luck.

You can take your anamorphic sequence and drop it into a 4:3 sequence and it will put the bars on top and bottom for you.

Render it out and you're good to go.
