output to DVD didn't look too great

Had some SD footage that was provided to me. I saved my edit in Apple ProRES 422 NTSC HQ.

The footage didn't look all that great and had the horizontal razor blade jaggies. We output to iDVD and the end result looked the same and also was a bit mushy and less saturated than our edit on the timeline.

Did I export to Quicktime improperly? Thanks.

You know I tried something else to resolve this today. I output with "current settings" and it came out much better. Maybe I used a setting that rezzed up the existing footage? What does Prores HQ mean? High Quality??? Only issue now is that the type we created looks a little blocky with some small holes in it. It was a thin script typeface. Could that be the issue??????
