hey all,
i burned my first dvd the other day using dvd studio pro. everything went ok, but i was not entirely satisfied with the quality of the final product. although the footage looked alright, it certainly was not as crisp as what i had on the original dv. i output the project onto dv and dvd and did a side by side comparison. the dvd was definitely not as sharp and looked a little bit hazier than the dv. i exported from final cut pro using compressor at the highest quality. is this quality loss just a natural part of the process?
i mean, i realize that the mpeg2 file is only a fraction of the size of the dv footage. if not, what else can i do to improve the quality of the dvd. again, it's not terrible, but i wish it looked crisper.
thanks in advance
