Output of Rode NTG-1 way too low

Hi guys --

After having used my Rode NTG-1 shotgun mic as an on-camera mic for a year or so, I noticed that the output has dropped to a minute level. It still sounds good, but the low output makes it useless.

Any idea what could be wrong with it?

Obvious question but did the input switch on the front of the camera get moved to line level instead of mic level?

EDIT: I thought I was still in the HVX section. What camera are you using and does it switch from mic level to line? If so my obvious question stands.

Have you tried hooking the mic up to another device (mixer, etc) to see if it still sounds low?)
