Output from FCP to camera then TV

I've got a setup in a studio which I'm editing HVX footage in an HD timeline, and I want to output the HD image to an HDTV thats set up.


Because I don't have a HD deck...Could I output through firewire from the computer into the camera then use the composite output on the camera to hook it into a HDTV?

I tried this but I'm not getting the image to output to the camera..and I have output All Frames check on. Is there a setting I have to go through to make this all run smoothly?

I have a MacBook Pro and got an adapter to plug my computer's video out into the HDTV's HDMI input. Works great. You just have to go into the "view" menu and set up the output to display the canvas.
