When you are trying to light a big area at night in the woods. For example the front part of a house including the sourrounding area. What is the best powerfull light to buy? Are there any power generators that I have to buy for these lights to run?

There are countless questions about night lighting on this forum..Use the search function at the top of the page, and type in "lighting at night" or "filming at night"

Ceramic Metal Halide with CRI of at least 80 but you can get them higher and they are still relatively reasonably-priced. It's a good substitute for HMI which is very expensive but both allow you to get a lot more light than tungsten for sure.

DVXUser Shawneous has been using metal halide "in the woods" I believe or at least has some plans to. You might look him up if he doesn't show up to post here.

To do what you're doing doesn't require a fresnel most likely, you could get away with a metal halide flood light as long as its not the typical garden variety bulb. Ballast should be electronic )with a relatively high output frequency of 10KHZ or more) instead of magnetic to avoid issues of flicker and hum.
